    *This role is hybrid; we work Monday/Wednesday/Friday from home and Tuesdays/Thursdays from our downtown office.

    We are looking for a hands-on Manager, Creative, who immerses themselves in the trenches of visual design, from the genesis of brand essence right through to the tactile realities of final product creation and marketing execution. Leading by example, you'll work closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to animate our brand's narrative and visual presentation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Visual Element Creation & Direction: Collaborate to strategically craft all visual elements, such as logos, brand marks, and packaging, ensuring a seamless alignment with our brand identity.
    • Product & Collection Strategy: Actively engage in defining the theme direction for our product lines through in-depth design reviews, material selection, and trend forecasting, always aligned with our brand strategy.
    • Art Direction: Take the lead in the artistic direction of our collections, creating compelling themes that resonate with our audience and set our brand apart.
    • Market Analysis & Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities for innovation, distinguishing our brand in the competitive landscape.
    • Strategic Marketing & Merchandising Material Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for marketing and merchandising materials, from digital assets to in-store displays, ensuring they effectively convey our brand’s essence and product advantages in alignment with overall marketing goals.
    • Team Collaboration & Creative Leadership: Foster a creative, innovative, and excellent working environment in collaboration with the Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
    • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Lead creative projects across different departments, ensuring a unified approach across design, marketing, and product development.
    • Resource & Timeline Management: Manage resources and timelines meticulously to guarantee the timely and budget-conscious completion of projects.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a creative leadership position, with a strong portfolio showcasing hands-on design work in product design, graphic design, and brand development, preferably within the children’s fashion or footwear industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute visual design projects from concept through completion, with a hands-on approach to both strategic planning and creative execution.
    • Proficiency in design software, notably Adobe Creative Suite, with a keen eye for visual composition, color theory, and typography.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, trend analysis, and leveraging insights to drive creative strategy and innovation.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing creative environment.
    • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines, and effectively managing resources and budgets.
    • Passion for children’s fashion and a commitment to contributing to the creative process with innovative ideas and solutions.

    We are STONZ (www.stonz.com) — MAKING OUTSIDE EASY! We are a fast-growing Canadian premium brand specializing in baby & children's footwear and apparel for ages 0-6 years old. Our mission is to Make Outdoor Easy for both kids and parents, with award-winning, kid-centric, and long-lasting products for every season.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential retailers in the children’s shoes and apparel market. Utilize various methods such as cold calling, networking, and attending trade shows and events in assigned territories to generate leads and build a robust sale pipeline.
    • Client Relationships Management: Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective retailers to understand their needs, preferences, and purchasing patterns.
    • Product Presentation: Conduct engaging in-person and/or virtual product presentations to highlight the features, benefits, and uniqueness of Stonz’ product assortments. Effectively communicate our brand’s story, mission, and commitment to prospective buyers.
    • Negotiation and Closing: Collaborate with retailers to negotiate pricing and conditions to secure sales agreements and overcome objections to drive successful deal closures.
    • Sales Reporting: Partnered with the US Sales Manager to maintain accurate records of sales activities, including leads, meetings, and sales order using JOOR platform.
    • Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, consumer preferences and competitor activities related to baby & children’s shoes and apparel.

    Requirements:
    • Proven record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the baby & children’s footwear and apparel market.
    • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
    • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, related field, or equivalent experience.

    Compensation
    This is a commission-based position with uncapped earning potential. Successful candidates will receive competitive commissions on sales generated.

    Location
    This role is external to Stonz as an independent sales representative based in the USA and will require regular travel within their assigned territories.
